As we grow older, we realize that while not all stories have a happy ending, they all leave us with valuable lessons. (Who says your payment gateway can’t be like your wise old grandpa?)
Once, there was a merchant who made their ISO a ton of money. One day, they announced they were leaving for a competitor. They explained that the competitor had promised to slash decline rates and boost subscription retention with a feature called “Card Updater.” The ISO protested: “Wait, I can do that too!” But the merchant replied, “You never told me, and now it’s too late.”
Ouch. The lesson here is clear: always ensure your merchants know about every feature and solution your platform offers. Card Updater is just one example, but it’s a good one.
So, just tell them. Whether they enroll or not, they’ll be informed—and your story will be much more likely to have a happy ending.
